Servants of Poktlarok who manage to live long enough to grow powerful may someday realize that this spell is among those their god is willing to grant them. Occasionally they even find that they have prepared this spell without meaning to. But for some reason, it seems impossible to write this spell into a scroll without having that scroll incinerate itself immediately.
Upon casting this spell, you gain death throes akin to those of a balor. If you are killed while the spell persists, you explode in a blinding flash of fire that deals 5 points of damage per caster level (maximum 100 points of damage) to anything within 100 feet. Half the damage is fire damage, but the other half results directly from divine power and is therefore not subject to being reduced by resistance to fire-based attacks. Creatures may attempt Reflex saves to halve this damage, and if they have spell resistance, it applies to this effect.
Upon exploding this way, your remains are utterly destroyed as if by destruction. If Poktlarok is your patron, he claims your soul eternally and you can never be restored to life by any means unless Poktlarok wills it so, which he doesn’t.
